The all look a bit extreme, but then fashion models usually do. Personally, I kind of like that look, but then I'm an asexual who finds both the androgynous look, and the ultra-techie-dyke look, very attractive.

I can understand the first two better than the last one I guess. Especially if that is your (the geneic "you") personal preference, but still the last girl looks like a bit of a freak in that hair cut, the bulging head and lack of jawline effect is rather unappealing even on hte androgynous front.

<Photography nerd on> The photographer needs a good talking to as well, good focus on the eyes, but had the lens far too open and as a result the ears are way out of focus. Shoulda used a smaller aperture... and a good dose of photoshop to remove the nasty black eyes woulda been nice (either that or the makeup artist was having a bad day)<Photography nerd off>

I don't have a problem with androgney, but with the exception of the first one there is a worrying trend towards Heroin Chic again, which was never good in the first place :(

The first one isn't too bad apart from the need to eat more pies, the second does look quite masculine and also bneeds to be introduced to Greggs bakeries and the third, well what can you say about that she looks very unattractive, the hairdo does nothing for her at all, it's quite grim to be honest.....perhaps we have judged her too harshly, maybe she was auditioning for the part of an orphan in the stage version of Oliver.....

I do quite like the elvish boy haircut on some people,the only few I can think of off the top of my head are Audrey Hepburn, Kylie & Natalie Imbruglia.
Audrey Hepburn well I don't think I even need to justify why, she is just beautiful. Kylie looked fantastic when her hair was growing back after the chemo (not a ideal reason for having cropped hair though) Natalie Imbruglia she looks good with a short crop as well.
All of these do have one other thing in common, despite being thin they still have curves and that is probably what makes them more attractive than the emaciated stick insects on those photos..

Kylie, Miss Pin Limbs herself, is really thin, but the fact that she has good muscles and muscle definition stops her looking like an anorexic twiglet.
