We, and most all of the Colchester goth contingent, normally hit:

• the Beer Tent (repeatedly)
• the Hog Roast (repeatedly)
• the spice stalls (the range is incredible and they have stuff like original medieval spice mixes (powdor fort) and weird bits like zedoary)
• the weaponry stalls
• the music and instruments stalls (hearing Craig play Spinal Tap on a Virginal was classic)
• the apothecary / magic / hippy crap stalls for raw incense substances and self lighting charcoal tablets

Well worth a visit.

What on earth are "self lighting charcoal tablets"?

They sound fun, in a vaguely pyromaniac kind of way *evil grin*

It's a charcoal briquette a little smaller than a jammie dodger, you apply a match or lighter to one side and they light up and smoulder all the way through in seconds, rather than how long it takes you to get a barbecue lit for instance. You use them for burning loose incense.
