I am trying very hard to do more exercise and stuff, but it's very hard and not very rewarding as people keep dropping out of stuff and things getting cancelled.
Exercise is often dull and boring. It's a problem. If you want a game of hitty thing[0] or less strenuous[1] hitty thing in a non competitive context[2] let me know. If it turns into a good natter and a few jokes and some running around then it ticks the boxes and is far more entertaining.
Better still if you fancy learning how to fight with rapier and dagger then let me know. It's less intense from a workout point of view though.
[0] squash [1] badminton [2] still haven't gotten over the trauma of school games from half a lifetime ago. you can probably tell from [0] and [1] that I take it really seriously... [cough]
I've done fencing a bit before, my uncle is a fencing instructor. Also I've done some Iaido which is also interesting. Has been a while though! Swords are always a good laugh. (Tempered with sense of course - we aren't irresponble with pointy things now are we?!)
I have to admit I tend to avoid racquet sports. Whilst I can play volleyball quite competently and have no problem with things like handball, or even hockey, when you stick a racquet in my hand I lose all coordination and ability to hit stuff!
