Feeling pretty good.
Nov. 20th, 2004 10:10 pmWell, things are quite good here. Jamie cooked liver and bacon casserole (mmm, yummy) I finally have red wine, and I don't have to do anything at all this weekend, except maybe a little bit of work related stuff, but even that's only document layout which is easy.
I've had my mandolin out the last couple of nights. I'm trying to get my fingers back into shape. The action on it is really high and playing for any length of time after a huge gap is not fun on the fingertips. Still, I'm feeling quite pleased with myself so far. Apart from the obvious fact that I need practice cause I haven't picked it up and played it much in the last five years, I'm still fast, though I've lost some accuracy (and thats quite important, the frets and the strings are very close together on a classical mandolin) and my tremolo isn't bad.
