Pictures of my boys!!
Oct. 23rd, 2005 06:29 pmI thought I'd share these pictures of my cats I took last weekend.
This is Monty. Monty is 14 years old and is getting on a bit. Jamie thinks he's senile. The vet thinks he doing very well for a cat of his age, i.e. he doesn't have any health problems. We got Monty about 6 years ago when his owners moved to New York and couldn't take him with them.

He spends a lot of time sleeping. Most of the time to be honest, and recently at night has taken to sleeping on my pillow next to my head, thankfully on the outside of the bed, else Jamie or I would probably roll on him.

When I took these I was trying to remake the bed. Monty wasn't having any of it.
This is Shed, sitting on the windowsill watching the antics when Monty was trying to prevent me moving him.

His name is really Shed. It's short for Shed-cat. He was a stray kitten that took up residence in a neighbour's Shed a few winters ago, we didn't want to take him in or name him until we were sure he didn't belong to anyone else, and by the time we did he answered to Shed-cat. Jamie says it should be short for Shit-head though.
This is Shed getting in on the 'let's prevent Mary from changing the bed linen' game.

Shed is uber-affectionate, he's all over you like a rash, all the time. If you sit down he sits on you. It can be a little wearing sometimes, but he is completely adorable. We thought he'd grow out of it, but he's over three now, so he's probably going to be like that forever. He also eats everything given half a chance, including garlic bread, vegetable chilli, jelly beans and chocolate.
This is Kleon. He's seven and a half. We've had him the longest and he is very much Jamie's cat. He's also chief cat in the house.

It's not a very good photo, as unfortunately, like Jamie, he doesn't like having his photo taken and moves. He's also a very friendly cat, but on his own terms. He likes to sit on your lap for hours if he's in the right mood. He has very short dense fur and is a very pretty cat. He's also very solid and weighs over a stone, about 16lbs.
We got Kleon and his brother Darius as kittens, but Darius decided to move in with some Yuppies a couple of streets away. Sad, but he decided it himself, and seemed very happy.
Anyway, I gotta go make dinner, see ya.
