For the first time ever I have had to submit a tax return, I gather in America everyone does, or at least a lot of people do. Here it is the exception as opposed to the rule.

I finally (the day before the closing date) just completed and submitted my tax return online, it was stressful, confusing and annoying. I am so glad I don't have to think about it for another year.

Time for another Roast Beef, Horseradish and salad sandwich!

You don't have to do a tax return here, but generally they owe you, so you're daft not to. Between us, we got nearly $2000 back! w00t! Straight into the UK holiday fund! :)

Interestingly, their end of finacial year is the end of JUNE here. Weird. But you don't put in your tax return until AFTER that date, and there's no pressure; put it in 3 months late, get your money three months late...
