I've been looking for something newto read (in the rare occasions I actually get to read)... Any chance of a very basic background/plot/setting review on those? Errr... Pratchett pretty much speaks for itself though ;-)

Jasper Fforde has written a series of oddball alternate reality comedy about the character Thursday Next. Well worth a read.

Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell are both writing stories about medical examiners / pathologists. Good if you like crime and forensic stuff.
