So, we're still here. We've been pretty busy so I haven't had much time to post. Here is what we have been doing:

Saturday:
In the daytime we went to Huntingdon Beach.

Lovely weather, a little light shopping, sun, sea, sand, and salad. There were lots of people surfing and playing beach volleyball.

Evening, we went to Bar Sinister. It was pretty cool. The music was okay though not outstanding. They played a little too much EBM for Oldgoth and Brigitte's taste, but I didn't really mind. The club itself is REALLY cool. It's got an outdoor area with a canvas roof, indoors with a massively high ceiling, dark, with lots of candles and an upstairs fetish area which I didn't bother going to see. Quite a lot of cool people. Rick, Pete & Shauna (is that how you spell it?) and Jeff came, though we didn't see Jeff as he was outside and we stayed inside mostly. Drinks were expensive for here!

Sunday:
We went to the Sunday night version of Release the Bats, which name I can't remember. It was cool. We just missed catching up with Steven (Frankenstein Drummer) when we got there which was a pity but hopefully we'll catch up with him tomorrow or Sunday. The club was really quiet sadly as some other club locally had had a huge opening night, free to get in, on the same night. Sad as the support band 33 Degree were really quite good, though the main band were less memorable. Then Jamie and I had a massive argument. Then we had a really good making up...but you don't need to hear about that! He also told me about the plans for Wednesday (see later on).

Monday:
On Monday we mostly loafed. We went to the Cuban place in the evening again though. It's really good there. Martin told Brigitte about the plans for Wednesday. She came over all funny and had to sit down, it was really cute.

Tuesday:
We went shopping in LA. We went there on the train. At Union Station we got a taxi and tried to go to this shop which had been advertised on the LA Goths thing. The taxi driver was totally useless and we ended up in the WORST crack head neighbourhood imaginable (believe me, it was like Dawn of the Dead, I kid you not) before he finally decided to use his electronic routefinder gadget, and drove off to the right address. You could not have got me out of that car for love nor money!!! And the shop wasn't there either. So we went to Melrose Avenue in Hollywood and shopped there instead. We went to Trashy, this big lingerie / clubwear / burlesque fashion place which was amazing. I bought a few things, a couple really nice tie front tops and I have a corset being made and shipped home for me. We wandered down Melrose and found a couple other places, I bought a cool long tight dress in purple leopard print fishnet over black, it looks better than it sounds, and Jamie bought a couple shirts and a hat. It's a Godfather style hat. It's also purple. V. bizarre.

Wednesday:
Wednesday was the surprise Jamie and Martin had planned. We flew to Las Vegas (with Pete and Rick) and renewed our wedding vows in front of Elvis!!! Well, almost Elvis lol. It was the funniest thing ever. I laughed so much! We flew out in the morning, got there about 12 noon, had lunch in a really posh restaurant in the Venetian Hotel (it has canals inside the hotel) where the food was great, but the service was appalling. After lunch we caught a cab across town to the Elvis Chapel, and renewed wedding vows. Martin and Brigette went first then us. It was an absolute scream! You renew normal wedding vows, and comedy Elvis themed ones too, Elvis sings you a couple of songs (Jamie had picked Jailhouse Rock - evil git! - and I also got Devil in Disguise) and you get a video of it too. We also took masses of photos, although at the moment we only have photos of Martin and Brigitte as we took theirs and they took ours. If you're really nice to me, I'll show you the video or pictures!
Afterwards we went to the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino and sat around, drank and had munchies. Jamie won some money on the slot machines and poker, but for those of you who know him well, that's no surprise. After a few hours relaxing we flew back.

Thursday:
Today we were going to go to the La Brea Tar Pits (I really want to see them) and Hollywood Boulevard, do the sign and the Walk of Fame (the pavement stars and whatever), but Martin was ill this morning, so we had today off relaxing instead of tomorrow and just hung out at Ricks.

Well, tomorrow is Tarpits and Hollywood, then Funeral in the evening, where both Jamie and Martin are Dj-ing. Saturday is Disneyland. Sunday, Jamie and I are possibly going to Oceanside to see Shauna and meet Pete's mom, though Pete's working, and then a good bye meal in the evening, with all our friends who can make it, and home Monday. I could easily stay here another week!

See you all soon.
