Stuff and drums

marylittlegothThis weekend I have been mostly loafing and making Jamie start to teach me to play the drums.
Bearing in mind that the last real experience I had with drums was about 15 years ago I think I'm doing okay. I did however have some drum lessons among the multitude of music lessons on various instruments I had between the ages of 5 and 14.
I'm doing okay. I can use both sticks and the right foot (bass pedal) at the same time all doing different things without it buggering up too much, I can keep the beat going like this for quite a while, though not too fast yet. The neighbours probably love this but practice is practice. I cannot however do double beats with the bass pedal yet. Arsebiscuits.
Roll on Friday when I will be in the house before 7 in the evening. It's a little antisocial to practice drums in a terrace house after 7pm even with practice pads.

Though I have to adjust all the drums heights and the seat etc as it's Jamie's kit and he's a foot taller than me!
